Martha Phillips joined the firm in 1986 after receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Ms. Phillips was the first female partner in the firm and concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense issues and personal injury and products liability litigation. Prior to law school, Ms. Phillips obtained her B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University and earned her certification as a Medical Technologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
For several years she was involved in clinical cancer research and served as supervisor of the pediatric hematology/oncology laboratory at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. In 1978, she graduated with honors as a Physician Assistant from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. That same year she received her license and certification as a Physician Assistant.
