Chancy Schaaf graduated with highest honors from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2025. As a student, Chancy was awarded the CALI Award for Water Law and served as an Executive Editor for the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Year-In-Review publication. She was subsequently awarded the Energy Law Journal’s Outstanding ABA YIR Award for her contributions. Additionally, Chancy was chosen from a highly competitive pool of candidates to serve as a Fellow in the Rural Summer Legal Corps with the Legal Services Corporation. She was stationed in the Rio Grande Valley where she provided free legal services to the community for 10 weeks.

Prior to law school, Chancy earned a bachelor’s degree in Global Affairs from George Mason University and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural, Environmental, and Sustainability Studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.  She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and currently practices in civil litigation.
