Premises Liability
Property owners may be held responsible for failing to maintain their property in a reasonably safe condition, and premises liability is the doctrine that holds owners liable for accidents and injuries that occur on that property in certain circumstances. In these cases, the plaintiff must prove the owner failed to maintain the property, created the unsafe condition, or knew about the unsafe condition but failed to warn the visitors or tenants.
The firm’s premises liability attorneys have extensive knowledge of the duty of landowners, the legal status of visitors, and the requirements for the safe condition of property. Our experience includes addressing premises liability in car accidents, slip and fall accidents, uneven surfaces, failure to repair or maintain the premises, and inadequate lighting, among others. In addition, we have dealt with claims on both public and private property.
