James N. Edmonds joined the law firm of Atkinson Brittingham in 1993. Mr. Edmonds focuses his practice in the areas of insurance law, insurance bad faith, personal injury, products liability, negligence, employment law, and general litigation. Mr. Edmonds often represents individuals and small businesses on insurance coverage issues and in insurance litigation. His insurance practice includes counseling, negotiation, and litigation involving a full range of insurance issues. As the lead lawyer, Mr. Edmonds has obtained multi-million dollar insurance recoveries for his clients in insurance litigation matters.

Mr. Edmonds has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to the representation of individual plaintiffs in personal injury litigation and insurance bad faith litigation. Together with his partners at Atkinson Brittingham, Mr. Edmonds has been part of a team of attorneys who have recovered over one hundred million dollars in personal injury and bad faith litigation. In 2005, Mr. Edmonds successfully argued the case of Parret v UNICCO Service Co., 2005 OK 54, 127 P.3d 572.

Mr. Edmonds graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1993, where he was selected for the Order of the Coif and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. While in law school, he was a member of the Kansas Law Review, serving as assistant editor of the Criminal Procedure Review and a staff member of the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. He received a bachelors degree in political science and a masters degree in philosophy from the University of Kansas. Mr. Edmonds has been with the firm since his graduation from law school.
